Entrepreneur Journeys by Sramana Mitra

Entrepreneur Journeys is a collection of interviews that Sramana Mitra has conducted with the entrepreneurs. The interviews are grouped together under a common theme and given a brief introduction. Some of the interviews provide an insight into business opportunities that could compete (in part) with Google, which is interesting to read as they certainly need some credible competition.

Sramana Mitra is a Frobes columnist, a technology entrepreneur and a Silicon Valley strategy consultant. She has founded three businesses and runs her own business blog Sramana Mitra on Strategy. This book is labelled Volume.1 so it looks like she intends to be a regular author as well.

Reading Entrepreneur Journeys will give you an insight into the lives of a number of entrepreneurs and their businesses. Not surprisingly given her background most of the entrepreneurs are technology focused and based in the USA which limits the relevance for those of us based elsewhere or which an interest is less technology focused businesses.

It’s an interesting book if, like me, you enjoy reading entrepreneurs stories, however it would have benefited from more analysis rather than being a collection of transcribed interviews.
